Smart Airport Systems Supports Alvest Partnership Driving Sustainability and Environmental Innovation

As part of the Alvest Group, Smart Airport Systems (SAS) is proud to be associated with this new partnership initiative, which strongly aligns with our company values, ESG commitments, and long-term environmental ambitions.

At Smart Airport Systems, our mission extends beyond airport operations. Through innovation, sustainable aviation, and operational transformation, we actively support solutions that contribute toward a more responsible and carbon neutral future.

Alvest recently announced its commitment to a four-year partnership with the innovative Ocean Calling project, founded by sailor and journalist Fabrice Amedeo. The Ocean Calling initiative aims to unite organizations and individuals around a common goal: preserving oceans and accelerating environmental action.

This strategic collaboration closely aligns with Alvest’s ESG commitments and vision of a Zero Emission future — not only for airports and ground operations, but also for broader environmental ecosystems.

Just as Ocean Calling uses sailing as a laboratory for innovation and environmental preservation, Smart Airport Systems contributes to transforming airport operations through electrification, green taxiing, and technologies supporting reducing CO2 emissions aviation.

Through innovative operational concepts such as ENG OFF and APU OFF, combined with airport technologies including GPU, PCA (Pre Conditioned Air), FEGP (Fixed Electrical Ground Power) and integrated COMBO solutions, Smart Airport Systems helps airports move toward Zero Ground Emission operations and long-term sustainability objectives.

As aviation increasingly focuses on carbon neutral strategies and operational efficiency, partnerships built around environmental responsibility and innovation become essential drivers of change.

The skipper-journalist and Alvest will participate together in major international sailing events including the 2026 Route du Rhum, the 2025 and 2027 Transat Café l’Or, and the 2028 Vendée Globe.

We are proud to support initiatives that promote innovation, environmental stewardship, and positive global impact, and we look forward to following the progress of this inspiring collaboration.
