Alvest Group Companies Achieves Key TaxiBot Embraer Certification Milestone
Last week, Smart Airport Systems (SAS) and TLD teams successfully completed major TaxiBot certification tests for the Embraer E175, E190, and E195 aircraft, marking another important step toward expanding sustainable airport operations.
Conducted in close collaboration with Embraer, KLM, LVNL, and Schiphol, these certification activities focused on validating the mechanical and operational compatibility of the TaxiBot solution with multiple Embraer aircraft platforms. This milestone supports the wider deployment of innovative airport technologies designed to accelerate sustainable aviation and support airport electrification initiatives.
The TaxiBot solution contributes directly to green taxiing operations by enabling ENG OFF taxi procedures and reducing unnecessary engine usage on the ground. Combined with future APU OFF strategies and airport energy infrastructure such as GPU, PCA (Pre Conditioned Air), FEGP (Fixed Electrical Ground Power) and integrated COMBO solutions, these technologies contribute toward Zero Ground Emission ambitions and help airports and airlines in reducing CO2 emissions aviation.
As the aviation sector continues progressing toward carbon neutral objectives, sustainable taxiing technologies represent a practical and immediately deployable pathway to reduce fuel burn, lower emissions, and improve airport environmental performance.
A big thank you to all internal teams and external partners whose dedication, collaboration, and expertise made this important milestone possible. Their commitment continues helping Smart Airport Systems drive innovation and shape the future of cleaner airport operations.
